What is a God Wink?

God Winks. What is that you might ask?

A God wink is what most people would call a coincidence.

There is NO such thing as a coincidence. That word is not in my vocabulary. I call them God winks. That moment when something as detailed or simple happens in your life and you think to yourself,

"What are the chances?!"

Well that moment didn't just happen. It was no coincidence. It was an encounter with the one true, loving,  Jesus Christ. 

It was a God wink! 

Have you ever had the experience when a grandparent or family member gives you a little wink across the dining room table? It's just a little nudge saying I love you and you are special!

That's just what God winks remind me of. God looked down from heaven at you and gave you a little wink just to let you know he was there. That he is with you. That he loves you. That you are special to him. It gives you certainty. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside knowing that God knows exactly what I need.

Luke 12:7 says, "Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered."

I love this verse! God made each one of us so special. No one knows the number of hairs I have on my head besides him. This verse is the very proof about the detail God has put into our lives.

I learned about God winks from a book called "When God Winks at You" by SQuire Rushhnell. Rushnell shares many stories about people all over the world and the different God winks they have encountered.

It brought so much joy and wonder to my life. It made me peek into my own life and look for God in every moment. I can count numerous times when I have been driving down the road, I pray about something I have going on, I turn the radio on, and the most perfect song comes on to lift me up. I used to think, "What a coincidence". Now I gained the biggest smile because all I can think about it how amazing my Jesus is. How much he cares about me and loves me and shows me just what I need. I smile because I know Jesus is with me.
